A good variety of events
have been enjoyed during the summer months including our regular
Skittles evening in Limpsfield in April, which was as popular as ever.
In May we visited the Globe
Theatre for a guided tour and a most interesting talk on the history
of the building.
We were lucky with the
weather in June when visiting the Weald & Downland Museum. The
historic buildings are fascinating and as it was a weekend of displays
by working animals, there was plenty to see.

In July our Croquet & cream
tea was a great success and we are grateful to Chris and Kate for the
use of their garden and for their coaching. We are all improving year
by year.
The coach trip to Dover
Castle was a lovely day. The guided tour of the War Time tunnels tells
of the evacuation of troops from Dunkirk and the Military Hospital
shows the wonderful work that was done deep underground during the
war.
The historic Castle itself
is full of interest from the kitchens through all the rooms up to the
view from the top of the tower – which is amazing.
